I want to buy at auction, how do I do it?

Berthier Auctions opens the doors to auctions, an accessible, secure, and guided experience, whether you are an amateur, curious, investor, expert, or collector.

Have you spotted a lot that you like? Then keep reading the guide!
Do you have a question about the lot? Write to us at contact@berthierencheres.fr and we will respond and provide you with information so that you can bid with full knowledge of the item.
 

How to bid?

At Berthier Enchères, you choose the bidding method that suits you best.
Option 1: In person in Lyon

Enjoy the authentic experience of bidding in person. Register on site on the day of the sale and bid with ease in front of the auctioneer.

Option 2: Live online
Follow the sale live and bid remotely from your computer or smartphone via Interenchères or Drouot, after registering on the platform.

Option 3: Place a purchase order
Can't attend the auction?
Send us a purchase order: the auctioneer will bid on your behalf, up to the amount you specify.
It couldn't be easier! Just send us an email with the lot number and your maximum bid. To secure your request, please attach a copy of your ID and proof of payment (bank details).

Option 4: Bidding by phone
Would you like to bid live without being present?
Upon request, we will call you during the sale so that you can bid on each lot individually.
Don't forget to tell us which lot you are interested in and your phone number, and to send us a copy of your ID and proof of payment.

Payment

If your bid is the highest, as soon as the word “sold” is spoken, the sale is sealed and you are the happy buyer of the desired lot.
Sales are concluded in cash.

Accepted methods of payment:
- Credit card at the office or credit card payment on our website under the “payment” section
- Bank transfer
- Cash within the legal limit in force.

Collection and delivery of your lots
Collection under review
Lots are handed over after full payment of the invoice, upon presentation of the invoice and proof of identity.

Delivery and transport
You can have your purchases shipped by the carrier of your choice.
